R.N.A. Pasture Contest
The R.N.A. Council yesterday formed a special committee of graziers and pasture experts to plan Queensland’s first improved pasture field competitions, which it is hoped to conduct during the coming show season.
The Committee comprises: Messrs. F. J. Morgan (vice-president), R. M. Reynolds (Naranga, Oakey), W. J. D. Shaw (Rodds Bay, via Gladstone), J. Sparkes (Lyndley, Dalby), M. D. Davies (Brisbane), either A. J. Caswell (Dalwon, Canungra) or R. V. D. Cox (Glengariffe, Maleney), dairy cattle: the Agriculture Department Under-Secretary (Mr. A. F. Bell), and R.N.A. Seretary (Mr. F. J. Kennedy).

MILK AND CREAM TESTING
The Department of Agriculture and Stock have notified that in future it will issue separate certificates for milk and cream testing, and milk grading and cream grading. The Dairy Officer at Dalby (Mr. E. W. Ladewig) has been advised to this effect also that written examinations in milk and cream testing, milk grading, also cream grading, will be held on July 22, with buttermaking and cheesemaking examinations on July 29. Practical examinations will be held at a later date. The examination centres will.be decided according to the localities where applicants reside. Mr; Ladowig states that the department advises on the best text books available, and literature on subjects covered by the examinations is supplied free by the department.
