7 More For “Miss A.I.F.” Quest”
Seven more Queensland girls will be supported by local organisations as candidates in the “Miss A.I.F.” quest which has been launched by the Patriotic Fund organisers.
Already six have been entered and yesterday a number of organisations had decided to sponsor additional candidates.
Each will be supported by a committee which will enlist votes in an effort to win the trip to Sydney, the golden crown, and the rich clothes that will be the reward for the girl chosen.
Representatives of all departments in the City Hall decided yesterday to select a City Hall candidate for the competition. A ballot will be taken throughout the service to select the final candidate.
Organisers of the competition announced yesterday that when nominations had been completed voting would begin.
It would cost one penny a vote, and the winner
