PROLIFIC WHEAT YIELD.

What may be regarded as a phenomenal yield, and a fair indication of what the general result might have been but for the occurance of that cold snap in October, is reported from Emu Vale where Mr. P. Carmody, sen., took 120 bags off 12 acres. This, however, was eclipsed by Mr. Carmody, jun., who had 17 acres that yielded 200 bags – 47 bushels per acre. The wheat in each instance was “Budd’s Early.” Mr. George Free, who was stripping his Canning Downs land during the week, reported a yield of from 7 to 8 bags per acre
