Sir Charles Lilley was a Member of the Queensland Legislative Assembly from 1860 to 1874 and the 4th Premier of Queensland from 1868 to 1870. He was subsequently appointed to the Supreme Court of Queensland in 1874 and was Chief Justice from 1879 to 1893.
