Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Sports Centre (QEII Stadium), Brisbane

The Queensland Sport and Athletic Centre, originally known as Queen Elizabeth II Stadium (QEII Stadium) and more recently ANZ Stadium, was built for the 1982 Brisbane Commonwealth Games and is the former home of the Brisbane Broncos NRL Club. The stadium is now used for international, national and local athletics.

The Stadium consists of two large grandstands on either side of the playing field and several stands forming a semi-circle at both ends, with a total capacity of just under 50,000. Also situated in the sports complex is a second athletics track which includes a small grandstand. After the 1982 Commonwealth Games, the athletics track was ripped up, however, in 2001, a new track was installed to cater for the 2001 Goodwill Games which were held at the stadium.
