COOLUM—NOOSA ROAD

The Chairman of the Noosa Shire Council (Councillor McAnaly), Councillor E. Bennett, and the Overseer (Mr. A. W. Dan) made an inspection of the track between Coolum and Noosa recently. The report says the track traverses bottle-brush country and is approximately four miles in the Noosa Shire, three of which are in timber reserve No. 977.

Councillor Bennett, in address ing the Noosa Council on the subject, said the road would be too costly to construct now, and at least £10,000 would be needed to build a reasonable road.

Supporting Councillor Bennett’s opinion the Chairman said that both resorts were connected with the Bruce Highway by main road.

(The distance between Coolum Beach and Noosa Heads is 41 miles per the Bruce Highway, whereas by traflicable road, quot ing the Noosa overseer and the engineer of the Maroochy Shire Council
