The City After Dark Markets will turn Reddacliff Place into a Friday evening stop for food, shopping and live music, with more than 70 traders preparing to set up in Brisbane CBD on 25 September.
From 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm, city workers, residents and visitors will be able to move from the working week into an evening of street food, artisan stalls, drinks and entertainment at the free event.
More than 70 food, artisan and boutique traders will fill the market, including independent makers and artisan producers.
An After-Work Meeting Place in Brisbane CBD
Live music will continue throughout the evening, while a pop-up bar will serve Aperol Spritz and local brews.
A DIY paint and sip will also be part of the program, alongside themed lighting and installations at Reddacliff Place.
The event has been designed to give people already working, living or spending time in the city another reason to stay after the traditional working day, with food, shopping and entertainment brought together in one place.
For Queensland small businesses taking part, the evening will also provide another opportunity to meet customers in one of Brisbane’s busiest precincts.
Brisbane City Markets already operates across three inner-city locations, offering farm-direct produce, artisan goods, gourmet food and provisions.
Goodwill Projects managing director Mark Power said Brisbane’s climate, food, people and public spaces provided an opportunity for more activity after standard business hours.
More Than 70 Traders Set for Reddacliff Place
The City After Dark Markets will be held at Reddacliff Place, 266 George Street, Brisbane City.
Entry is free, with people under 18 able to attend with a parent or legal guardian.
Those who register for a free ticket can also enter a draw for a gourmet hamper valued at more than $300.
The market will run from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Friday 25 September.
